It is with great pleasure that we cordially invite you to participate in the 3rd annual Cairo English School Model United Nations conference (CESMUN). The conference will be held from the 25th to the 27th of January of 2024 at the CES campus located next to Mirage Residence. 

 

CESMUN has taken a new turn this year, with the new Board of Directors, consisting of 21 students who are more than eager to build and develop a conference like no other. This year, CES delegates will be trained to the utmost of their abilities, to maintain strong and enthusiastic debates. Our student officers will be experienced, with months of preparation and training before the conference, ensuring that our conference’s affiliation with The Hague International Model United Nations (THIMUN) is valued and respected.  

 

This year, the conference consists of nine committees: General Assembly 1st Committee (DISC), General Assembly 3rdCommittee (SOCHUM), Human Rights Council (HRC), Security Council (SC), World Health Organization (WHO), Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), and The International Court of Justice (ICJ).

 

This year’s theme is “International Cooperation In a Divided World”, where delegates will be debating relevant topics which will incite fruitful and educational debates, enriching delegates’ knowledge of global politics.
